PW Intelligent Pump Controllers
PW Intelligent Controllers provide automatic pump control, dry-run protection and full electrical protection
for domestic, agricultural and light commercial pump installations.
Available in single-pump and twin-pump configurations for both 220V and 380V systems.
What is a PW Intelligent Controller?
A PW Intelligent Controller is a multifunction pump control panel designed to automatically start, stop and protect water pumps
based on pressure, level or demand conditions. It replaces traditional pressure switches and control boxes while adding advanced
safety, monitoring and alarm functions.
Core capabilities
- Suitable for automatic level & pressure control and protection of direct-start pumps (deep well, pipeline, etc.)
- Power ranges: 0.75–15 kW (3-phase direct-start) and 0.37–2.2 kW (220V single-phase)
- Manual or automatic pump control
- Four working modes: pressure sensors, float switches, level probes, or electrical contact pressure gauges
- Under-voltage / over-voltage protection
- Over-current protection
- Short-circuit protection
- Phase-loss protection (3-phase models)
- Built-in air switch protector
- Current setting: one-key automatic or manual adjustment
- Dry-run protection time adjustable: 10 sec / 3 min / 5 min
- Dry-run current threshold adjustable: 70% / 80% / 85% of rated current
- Can operate two pumps simultaneously (low level/low pressure replenishment or high level overflow alarm discharge)
- Automatic changeover if one pump malfunctions
- Twin pumps can alternate duty/standby (adjustable alternation time: 0–99 hours)
- Cumulative alternation time per pump can be queried
- Dry-run protection available without a probe
- High-definition LCD display: voltage, current, pressure values
- Fault info on LCD with audible & visual alarms; configurable to user requirements
Select your PW Intelligent Controller
All PW Intelligent Controllers offer the same core protection and control features.
Selection is based on pump voltage and whether a single or twin-pump configuration is required.
220V – Single Pump
For one single-phase pump. Commonly used on domestic booster pumps, drainage pumps and small transfer systems.

380V – Single Pump
For one three-phase pump. Commonly used on borehole pumps, agricultural and light commercial installations.

Typical applications
PW Intelligent Controllers are commonly used on borehole pumps, drainage pumps, sewage/effluent pump stations,
irrigation systems, pressure boosting sets and storage tank transfer systems.
Choosing the correct controller
To select the correct PW Intelligent Controller, confirm pump voltage (220V or 380V), motor power (kW/HP),
full load current (amps), and whether a single or twin-pump configuration is required.
Using the incorrect controller can result in nuisance trips or inadequate protection.
